Digital Pollen Information

For the first time in Switzerland, real-time pollen load data is available to the public. The actual pollen load is continuously displayed in the "Ally Science" app for allergy sufferers, which is already in widespread use.

The "Ally Science" app was launched in April 2018 by the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) and the University Hospital of Zurich (USZ) as the core of the largest pollen study in Switzerland. The app now offers new functions. The most important one is made possible by our air flow cytometer Swisens Poleno. The Swisens Poleno detects the current local pollen concentration of the pollen varieties relevant for allergic persons in the air. For the time being, two Swisens Polenos are in operation in the cities of Biel and Lucerne. Our CEO Erny Niederberger is confident "that the devices will deliver very good quality real-time data".
